Main novelty is the incorporation of an expert that will welcome and guide the visitors

Família Ametller reactivates the activities of wine tourism at the Joan Ametller winery in Priorat, and it does so by celebrating, on the one hand, that the confinements have been relaxed and the State of alarm canceled, and on the other, by welcoming a new person in charge of the visits.

Marijke Elens, from Deutchland, has a degree in Classical Languages at the University of Leiden (Holland). She is an appassionate winelover, and since she has lived in Catalonia for a long time, she knows the territory and the Família Ametller project well. Elens has experience as a tourist guide, and she speaks six languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Dutch and German. Wine tourism visits can be enjoyed in any of these languages.

Regarding the logistics of the visits, a prior reservation system is now activated or by email or calling at 0034 676 111 718. Although the pandemic seems to be giving some truce, from the winery we will continue to bet on responsible and safe wine tourism. From now on, it is allowed to do a reservation from Monday to Saturday immediately.

People interested in visiting the winery can choose between doing it “at their own pace”, with the option of tasting wines from the different ranges of the project; or guided tours that vary between the Essential (with commented tasting), A Fondo (also includes a visit to the vineyards) and Premium (where the founder of the project, Joan Ametller, also participates).
