A red wine with a long ageing process that is made after a careful selection of Garnacha grapes, mainly from the Les Solanes plot in the municipality of Porrera. These are old, low-production vines located at an altitude of between 450 and 500 metres and planted on terraces with a slope of up to 45-50% and slate soils. The blend is completed with a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The grapes are harvested by hand in crates of between 18 and 20 kg, with an important selection on the vines and the winery, where we also pass the grapes through the vibrating table. The grapes are destemmed and gently trampled, and once cooled they are placed in a stainless-steel tank. They will remain in the vat for 30 days, starting with a cold maceration and subsequent alcoholic fermentation at 26ºC- 28ºC degrees. We pump over daily to favour the extraction of colour and tannins from the skins. Once the maceration is finished, it is devatted, bled and pressed. After the malolactic fermentation, it is left to rest and aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months. Once this process is finished, it continues its ageing in the bottle for a minimum of 96 months (8 years).
